Strategic Management Process-Advisory Service
Our organisational advisory service focuses on assisting entities to design an effective Strategic Management Process (SMP) for the purposes of managing the required trajectory of achieving its stated goals for future sustainability.
The SMP is primarily designed around a few key steps to assist our clients with a clear and precise strategy on how to optimally use available resources to come up with a blueprint, which will allow it, to eventually achieve its stated goals.
Also during the SMP, we manage the process of bringing on-board all the key stakeholders to provide input on how to refine the strategy, their roles and responsibilities, evaluate potential risks and to how we will conduct continuous assessments during its implementation.
Rationale for the SMP
A deep analysis of an entity’s current State of Affairs will allow it to properly plan for its continued sustainability and where necessary to be the preferred organisation in the market place. Also, to assess whether it can continue to give its stakeholders the desired return on investment and their objectives.
Structure and Purpose of the SMP
The objective of the SMP is primarily based on designing a comprehensive “Total Value Proposition” (TVP) for our clients, which is based on the following key steps:
1. Initial Session with Key Stakeholders:
This would be an extensive unpacking of the true State of Affairs of the entity, which will be followed by the application of Blue Sky Thinking, which is a brainstorming session, which places no limitations on generating a structured set of goals, which will lead to a desired outcome for the entity.
2. Review and Analysis of Data
An extensive review and analysis of available data to establish which internal and external factors have contributed to the current State of Affairs and how the very same factors could be utilised, as a part of turnaround strategy, to achieve the entity’s goals. The traditional SWOT Analysis approach will be used to derive at a framework for a conclusive step-by-step implementation plan.
3. Designing a Strategy for Implementation
Following the in-depth review and analysis of date in the previous stage of the SMP, the focus will shift to designing a Strategic Implementation Framework, to be used as a map to pool all the available resources to list a definitive set of priorities for the entity, which will lead to a coordinated implementation of the next phase of the Strategy.
4. Implementing the SMP
In this stage the focus is shifted to actually implementing the SMP and all relevant stakeholders are fully briefed as to their specific roles and responsibilities as well as what type of resources will be made available to support them in their endeavours to effectively manage the process.
5. Evaluating the SMP’s Return on Investment:
On a periodical basis the implementation of the Strategic Implementation Framework, is monitored to assess whether targets are being met or not. It is also during this stage where the entity will decide, and where necessary, to re-align specific interventions, which are not effective and how to re-allocate resources to bring the actions on track to achieve the set goals.
